At our headquarter in Forus, the balloons on the ceiling reveal that there is a birthday celebrant in the room. But you’ll also find several small trophies and medals, a testament to the fact that we do like organizing competitions and celebrate the big and small occasions at Ocean Installer.
It has become a topic of conversation at Forus that Ocean Installer is the company where “no one quits.”
“The day-to-day life at Ocean Installer feels personal and with short decision-making lines, but at the same time, very professional. You compete with the largest companies in the world,” says Signe Moltu.
Jørn Waalen is probably the employee that knows Ocean Installer the best. He was the seventh installer hired back in 2011. Back in the day Jørn was the man in charge of the specification and delivery of the Normand Vision – a massive model of which can be seen in our reception area.
“I’m proud of that! Remember that the boats we use are some of the most important tools we have. It’s specially designed for installing underwater equipment, cables, pipelines, and other equipment in the oil and renewable energy industry. This one can lift 400 tons,” he says, pointing at the crane.
