Managing Director of Ocean Installer UK, Martin Sisley, has been appointed to the Board of the industry body Subsea UK.

Ocean Installer has been awarded a SURF (Subsea structures, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) contract for subsea lines modification work at several Statoil operated fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The total contract value (firm) is approx. USD 55 million and with an additional potential (options) of approx. USD 95 million.

Total E&P UK Limited has awarded Ocean Installer a contract for the recovery of casing at the Tomintoul location, west of the Shetland Islands.

Ocean Installer appoints Michael Newbury as President for its US office, located in Houston, Texas. The Ocean Installer Houston office has been established to cater for projects run out of the US.

Ocean Installer has been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation (EPCI) contract for subsea installations and tie-in operations at the Statoil operated fields Gina Krog (former Dagny) and Eirin. The total contract value is approximately USD 85 million (NOK 500 million), including options.

Talisman Sinopec Energy UK Limited (Talisman Sinopec Energy) has awarded Ocean Installer a contract for umbilical installation at the Arkwright field in the UK sector of the North Sea. This is Ocean Installer’s second contract award this month.

Shell U.K. Ltd. has awarded Ocean Installer a contract for umbilical installation at the Bittern field in the UK sector of the North Sea.

Norwegian subsea entrepreneur Ocean Installer and leading offshore engineering and construction company McDermott have established an exclusive alliance to jointly meet customers’ increasing rigid pipelay needs in the North Sea subsea market.
