Ocean Installer awarded premier oil contract

Premier Oil plc (Premier) has awarded Ocean Installer a contract to perform offshore survey operations in support of the development of the Solan oil field..
– We are very pleased to have been awarded our first offshore contract with Premier. Adding to our growing client base, this contract illustrates that Ocean Installer is capable of providing rapid and efficient solutions in line with clients’ needs, says Steinar Riise, CEO of Ocean Installer.
The work is scheduled to take place in September-October and Ocean Installer will make use of the highly efficient long-term chartered construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Clipper.
The Solan field is located in the UK North Sea, west of the Shetland Islands (block 205/26a), at a water depth of approximately 137 metres. Premier is the operator of the Solan field, where production is estimated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2014.
